An Ayahuasca Journey of Self-discovery and Global Transformation

This story was submitted to My Psychedelic Experience, an Australian Psychedelic Society project that aims to publish personal accounts of psychedelic experiences from a diverse cross-section of the community. In sharing their accounts, we hope to humanise the people who use psychedelics, reduce stigma, and educate the public about the wide range of experiences that psychedelics can bring about.

My Ayahuasca journey unfolded over six days in Southeast Asia in October 2024. This sacred plant medicine ceremony, facilitated by experienced shamans, offered a profound opportunity for introspection and spiritual exploration. My primary intention entering this transformative experience was a deeply personal one: to gain clarity on my life's purpose.

For years, I had diligently pursued a career in accounting within the property management sector. While I valued financial stability, a nagging sense of discontent lingered. Was this truly the path I was meant to walk? Was there a way to align my professional life with my deep passion for spirituality and a desire to contribute to the greater good?

The first night of the retreat proved to be a pivotal point in my journey. As the Ayahuasca began to take effect, I found myself unexpectedly connecting with a group of benevolent reptilian beings. This encounter, while initially surprising, offered profound insights into my life's mission. The Reptilians communicated that I was destined to be a channel for their wisdom, to assist humanity in navigating the complexities of the modern world. They emphasized the importance of sharing their message of love, compassion, and interconnectivity with all beings.

This encounter profoundly impacted my understanding of my purpose. I realized that my role extended beyond the confines of my current profession. I felt a strong calling to share my experiences and insights with the world, to become a conduit for the wisdom of these benevolent beings. The idea of writing a book about the Reptilians, a work that would bridge the gap between human understanding and the realities of otherworldly existence, began to take shape.

As the retreat progressed, I continued to delve deeper into the mysteries of my being. On the final night, I posed a question that has been weighing heavily on humanity: what does the future hold for our planet? I envisioned dystopian scenarios – a world dominated by robots, ravaged by climate change, where entire continents had sunk beneath the rising seas.

However, Mama Ayahuasca, in her wisdom, offered a different perspective. She showed me that the future of our world is not predetermined. It is, in essence, a reflection of our collective consciousness. Our thoughts, our beliefs, and our actions shape the reality we experience. This profound realization was a powerful catalyst for change. It instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility to cultivate positive thoughts and contribute to the creation of a more harmonious and sustainable world.

This understanding beautifully aligned with the guidance I had received earlier in the retreat. If my purpose was to help humanity, how could I contribute more effectively than by facilitating positive transformation within individuals? I began to see the immense potential of psychedelic experiences like Ayahuasca to rewire our thought patterns, to dissolve limiting beliefs, and to cultivate a deeper sense of compassion and interconnectedness.

I believe that Ayahuasca, and other plant medicines, offer a powerful tool for personal and societal transformation. By facilitating these experiences in a safe and supportive environment, we can empower individuals to heal from trauma, overcome addiction, and cultivate a deeper sense of purpose and meaning in their lives.

This retreat has been a profound turning point in my own journey. It has reaffirmed my commitment to a life of service and inspired me to explore new avenues for personal and professional growth. I am eager to share my experiences and insights with the world, to contribute to the growing dialogue surrounding psychedelic therapies, and to play a role in creating a more conscious and compassionate future for all beings.
