Join the APS Volunteer Community.

At the Australian Psychedelic Society (APS), volunteering means contributing to something that matters — without the hierarchy, without the performance.

It’s about being part of a team, working toward drug policy reform, harm reduction, and honest conversations around psychedelics. Whether you're helping at events, behind the scenes, or just lending your lived experience, you’re part of something that keeps our community safe and informed.

Volunteer with the APS

Want to help shape the future of psychedelics in Australia and find community?
The Australian Psychedelic Society (APS) is a volunteer-led, grass roots organisation committed to harm reduction, decriminalisation, and building informed communities. If you're passionate about this too and want to get involved, you're in the right place.

What is the APS Volunteer Hub?

The Volunteer Hub is our central space for staying informed, connected, and supported as a team member. Once you're onboarded, you'll get access to:

  • All APS policies and procedures (so you're never guessing)

  • Group calendars (so you never miss a meeting, event, or strategy day)

  • Volunteer-led Training and regular meetings & role clarity (so you know exactly how to contribute)

  • A shared mission and inclusive culture- do we need to explain more?

  • We encourage people to use skills they enjoy using to help the cause, contact us if you can help!

  • If you can not volunteer but want to help out, donations are always helpful for little orgs like the APS.

How it Works- Volunteering with APS is easy.

  1. Fill in the Volunteer Application Form

  2. You will be asked to read and tick some boxes

  3. When you’re approved - You’ll receive a link to create your Volunteer Hub account and verify it!

  4. Then read a few more short docs, tick some more boxes, so you’re up to speed with where to go and when!

  5. One of the APS team will be in touch once you have followed those instructions!

That’s it. A few clicks, a touch of reading, and you’re on your way to contributing meaningfully to one of Australia’s leading psychedelic advocacy organisations.
